Who Lives at Flutter By Meadows?

Fox hunting on the perimeter of our property

We have so many birds living in and around our home that it is hard to keep track of them all. We have some year round residents and some we see only for few months at a time. There are even a few migrants that pop over, and then we never see them again. We have everything from eagles to ospreys to cedar waxwings and hummingbirds. We have a woodcock. We have great horned owls. We have painted turtles and salamanders. The list goes on. And over the summer months we raise monarch and tiger swallowtail butterflies. We also have foxes. They help keep our mouse population down; and they are super fun to watch. We have even seen a fox take a squirrel!
