Fall is the season that deepens everything. The colors warm and the pace softens, even as migrations begin and seeds scatter. There’s a kind of reflective energy in the way the garden winds down—less of a fading, more a quiet preparation.
I love this time for its honesty. Plants release what they no longer need, and I’m reminded to do the same.

I could choose to see the untimeliness of the leaves, or I could see that it was nature’s way of signalling change and adding to the ever changing compass of the Earth’s daily calendar.
